Almost Free Advertising
Are you looking for almost free advertising? Are you in the field of Marketing or Advertising? If you answered yes to the previous questions, then I want to hear from you! <= Did that sound like the all too familiar “used car” sells pitch? I probably should have added flashing lights and changed the pitch of my voice. With the crazy antics out of the way, let’s get serious. I do have an offer for almost free advertising.
I am looking for “
Thought Leaders” (I hate that word), no, I am looking for anyone in marketing or advertising that is willing to do a short interview about marketing in China. It can be done in person, if you live in Beijing, or by email. You can answer it anyway you desire. The more creative the better, for example: you can make a video, make a SlideShare, write & sing a song, or you can be boring & professional and just answer the questions. The questions will be mainly about marketing & advertising in China and about business in China.
What You get!
What’s in it for you? Well, not much…. But like I said this is almost free advertising. The cost to you is a few minutes of your time to answer the questions and what you get is a blog post on my blog. My blog gets very specific traffic about marketing and advertising in China. Below is a screenshot of my blog stats for the month of September. As you can see each month I get around 500 specific views for China related posts. My average monthly views falls around 1,000 visitors (for the months of June, July, August, and September.) My blog started in February, 2013 and traffic has been continuously increasing every month.
I will also pin your post to the front page of my blog for one week, which means your interview will be the first post visitors see on my blog. You can see in the picture below (green) that about 500 people visit my home page per month. Also, I will share the post with all of my social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and I will optimize it for search engines.
Side Note: This last month was higher because Google indexed a picture for Oktoberfest and that brought in a lot of traffic that was not related to China.
If you are still reading, thank you! It also means you are very bored or interested, I hope it is the latter. The questions can be answered in relation to the company you work with or in relation to your personal experiences. You can add two backlinks (non-affiliate) to your personal blog or company website. The answers can be short or long but they should fully explain your companies/personal opinion about marketing/advertising in China.
I will provide the answers in English or Chinese but please specify which you would like, if you do not specify, I will send you the English questions. Also, you can answer in English or Chinese, if you answer in Chinese, I will translate to the best of my ability and add both the Chinese and translated English answers in the post. Please understand that my Chinese is not fluent and I may make mistakes.
If you are still not convinced but you are still reading, than I will tug at your heart strings. I feel this is a decent offer and I think you have a lot to gain from it. You get to promote your business or yourself and I get new interesting content that is related to marketing in China.
If that’s not enough than do it to help a young marketer trying to break into the Chinese marketing scene. Remember back to when you were just starting out and how hard it was to make your mark. Maybe, someone in the business gave you a break, maybe not, but think about how you wanted it and worked for it. Help me out and even if you don’t get any traffic or business from this endeavor, you will get the stratification of knowing you helped me on my journey. Thanks for reading!
