About CMM

Chairman Media is a content and social media marketing agency providing social media management and content creation services. Starting in 2016, CM is looking for new clients and changing its focus to provide greater services to our clients.

In the past CM was a community site about marketing and advertising in China. Articles have been mostly about marketing in China and Asia, but articles about marketing in general have been published. The site has been active since Feb. 2013 and is now changing focus. There will still be many articles about China and Asia, and we still accept guest articles, but we will also be focused more on client services.

Founder & Editor – Miguel Roberg:

I will tell you a little about myself. I am a marketing professional living and working in China. I have been working here for over 5 years now and I will share my experiences and thoughts on the Chinese markets. I hope it will be useful to you in some way. My name is Miguel Roberg, but most Mandarin speakers can not pronounce it and they end up calling me “Migo”, which is why this site is named Chairman Migo Media. I am an American and I studied Marketing and Management. If you want the whole story about what I have been doing in China click here.

    Dear Migu(el),

I love your website! Over my weekend I plan to systematically consumer all of your posts. While I currently work in Nigeria, I will soon fly over to scout out opportunities in China and I was wondering if I might be able to shoot you a couple questions via email to explore some of the areas you see continued growth potential inside marketing. Lastly, I have to say it’s awesome that you included “KFC in China”. It’s an excellent case study, and we actually used samples of it to study in our Business Chinese Language courses in college!

I hope to hear from you!

I wanted to introduce myself to you. First off, I am very impressed with how you have been managing your website. The reason I’m reaching out to you is to find out if you would like to become a blogger in LinkVehicle’s private marketplace and make money writing blog posts for our clients. We have over 3,000 clients and out of those 3,000 many are agencies who have multiple clients. After taking a look at your past posts and looking at the amount of followers you have, I know our advertisers would love to have you write about them. FYI, we will be implementing performance marketing/display advertising into our website in the near future. I’m confident you will add to your monthly revenue by working with LinkVehicle! I hope you’ll test us out by signing up as a publisher at https://www.linkvehicle.com/signup/referrer/2508150c3deccac3aee2aead35eedcb2132f5f7c. Please, don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!

Do you have any list of the best marketing companies for “the small companies”? I of course could never afford a heavy hitter but I don’t want any scam companies either. I am sure that there are some that focus on the small companies.

    Do you have any lists?

Yes, I don’t have a website yet, just developing it.

      Hello Markis,

I don’t have that off the top of my head but I think it would make a good post. I will look into it more and get back to you as soon as possible. What budget and product are you looking to market in China? This information may be helpful to find an agency that will be able to help and not just take your money. You can ballpark the budget $10-30K $40-90k you get the idea. I would love to hear more.

      Thank you for the comment,

I am NOW certified by 2 companies PIER and ICEF as an education consultant. I found that MOST education consultants in China charge the student AND get kickbacks from the Universities they send them to! I find that despicable because they can’t objectionably help the students. So, I decided to join the game but unlike them I went and got 2 certifications in the industry.

However, I have a huge uphill battle to fight. They have been in existence for a long time and are backed by big names even if they are cheating the students. Especially since I have very little money. I am hoping my knowledge and lack of cheating can somehow be leveraged.

I would rather give percentage of what I make (the business is big money) but if that is not possible then we are talking less than $10,000 US. When I mean small, I mean small company. So, I don’t know if there are GOOD agencies that will help VERY small companies like the one I am in.

Thanks for ANY help you can give me.
