China Smack – China Smack is a website that brings you all kinds of different news from around China and gives you an idea about how the Chinese feel about different social issues in China and throughout the world. Of course it is a lot of hate towards foreigners and foreigners hating on Chinese but I do find it interesting.
E-China Cities – This site has a lot of different links for different cities all over China. If you want to find out about the city you are living in check out this site. There is a lot of user created content and they have a very good job board.
The Beijinger – This site is very similar to E-China Cities but it only focuses on Beijing. There is a lot of active users and many blog posts about topics related to foreigners living in China. They also have a good job board but many of the jobs posted here can also be found on E-China Cities job board.
China Brain – “Collating the best China News from the web in one place and bringing you some of our own. China Brain is a community site for China Business Professionals, Academics, Entrepreneurs and Watchers.” They actually have some good articles.
China Business Links:
The Little Red Book – This is a marketing and business blog with lots of information about China. I find the site very interesting but the blogger is not very active. He runs a business and that website is also very useful. The company is called Resonance and they deal with social media in China.
The China Business Network – They provide a lot of information on a broad bases. They present most of their insights via podcasts. I prefer to read but I’m sure you will find their information useful.
Marketing Blogs and Sites:
Seth Godin blog – If you do not read Seth Godin’s blog, now is the time to start. Actually, I never even go to the blog home page. There is not much to see but I do read it everyday. I subscribed and I think it is an easy and useful read. The posts are short and to the point, if you like marketing you will like the daily posts.
